ORIGIN STORY
We've been raving since 2012 - so we've been around the block a bit. From attending Ultra at age 15 to underground raves in Chicago and Detroit, to club culture in Amsterdam. As the years went on, we felt there was something missing at the intersection of clothing and raving: a unisex streetwear brand that centers design but nods to the culture (in a non-cringey way). Streetwear that doesn't belong to a venue, festival, or artist - but belongs to ravers and designers. So, we created our own world. Techno is a culture born out of resistance, that pushes against the status quo, and celebrates innovation. It's more than the music you hear - it's a movement that goes against the grain. That's the ethos our brand embodies.
We're a small independent, Latina-owned brand. Thanks for being here and contributing to what we're building. We want to make a difference in the world as we continue to expand and build this world. Learn more about our mission and sustainability below.
1% FOR THE WORLD
We always said if we were to create something larger than ourselves, we would want to give back. As TECHNO WORLD thrives, we commit to donating 1% of our gross revenue every month to various organizations and causes that help make the world a better place. We share where we've donated monthly on our social media pages, so you can see how you're directly contributing to something positive. And if you have any recommendations for some organizations that mean something to you, let us know - we want to hear from you.
ETHICS + SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability and ethics are extremely important to us, and we aim to only improve our impact as we grow and expand. We currently work with sister factories based in Los Angeles and China. Our partner in China operates under the Higg Index, which measures and evaluates the factory's environmental impact such as carbon emissions and water usage, as well as social and ethical impact including wages, working conditions, and management systems. We only use eco-friendly dye for our garment printing, as well as eco-friendly packaging. We also operate as a made-to-order business, so we don't make and hold onto excess garments.
